Magnetic Resonance

Originally, the plan for this painting was to have four colourful rectangles as a base and create a minimalistic, geometric piece. After completing that stage, I left it on the easel as I felt like it hadn't reached its final form. However, when I received the MRI results, I started adding darker tones and colours, feeling overwhelmed with no clear message of all-clear.

I kept going until I had covered most of the bright and jolly background, as I felt like the darkness was taking over. It didn't feel right to cover it completely, and those small patches of pink and orange were a reminder not to give up.
